We (ixSystems supprt and I) reviewed smb logs, and when the user attempts to change the folder name, nothing is registered on the smb logs at all.įrom the server end, there does not appear to be any acl issues, and this is confirmed by using muCommander or a windows machine.ĭoes anyone have any ideas? Server is using smb3 and has the latest updates from ixSystems. Using a windows computer using the same user credentials as user 'X', you are able to make the changes and move the directories. Using muCommander, the user does not receive an error and is able to make the change. ![]() Using terminal to browse through to the share and attempting to rename a folder, yields a similar error. Now said user is the owner of all the files and folders in the share, and entering the user and pass for the share results in a "you dont have permission" error message. ![]() On certain folders, the user tries to make changes, or move the folder, and finder displays a username and password box. Through finder, the user can browse to a sub directory where there are folders that require regular maintenance (re-name and move, specifically). User 'X' has full permissions to a directory and sub directory.
